    Celebrate Independence Day in Austin with family, friends, fireworks and fun! If you’re not sure what to do, check out some of these events going on around town.

    H-E-B Austin Symphony July 4th Concert & Fireworks

    Vic Mathias Shores (formerly Auditorium Shores)
    Wednesday, July 4th at 8:30 PM

    Featuring the largest Independence Day Celebration in the state, Vic Mathias Shores is lit with fireworks against the beautiful background of Austin’s city skyline. Symphonic patriotic classics will accompany the fireworks, brought to you by the Austin Symphony. This free classic Austin event is a must see!

    Willie Nelson’s 4th of July Picnic

    Another classic 4th of July event returns this year with a lineup that includes Willie Nelson & Family, Sturgill Simpson, The Head and the Heart, Ryan Bingham, Edie Brickell & New Bohemians, Margo Price, Jamestown Revival, The Wild Feathers, Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real, Asleep at the Wheel, Particle Kid, Gene Watson, Johnny Bush, David Allan Coe, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Billy Joe Shaver, Folk Uke, Raelyn Nelson Band and more! Beginning in 1973, Willie’s 4th of July picnic has moved around a few locations in the area but finds its home for the fourth year at COTA. Tickets start at $42.50.

    Red White and Buda July 4th Celebration
    Downtown Buda
    Wednesday, July 4th
    9am – 12pm and 5pm – 10pm

    The day begins with a children’s bike parade at 9am along Main Street in Downtown Buda. Afterwards, head down to the Downtown Buda Greenbelt for bounce houses and more family fun until noon. Live music, food, activities kick off in the afternoon at 5pm and the day finishes off with a spectacular fireworks display at 9:30pm at the Buda Sportsplex.

    Round Rock Sertoma July 4th Parade and Frontier Days

    Wednesday, July 4th
    10 am – 11pm

    Start your day in Round Rock with the 2018 Sertoma July 4th Parade that features giant helium inflatables, marching bands, cheerleading sqauds, drill teams, decorated vehicles and more. Following the parade, head over to Settler’s Park for Frontier Days, a festival of food and family fun. The schedule includes a Pepper Eating Contest sponsored by Randalls Market, Cowboy Sing-A-Long, Pig Races, Children’s Activity Zone, Live Stunt Men Spectacular and more. Fireworks begin at dark and afterwards, stick around for Movies in the Park featuring Star Wars: The Last Jedi. This free event has it all!
