Established in 1982 on the north side of Austin, the Wells Branch neighborhood and surrounding area is largely residential with nearby restaurants and a local library. It provides residents easy access to downtown and several major area employers.

Amenities of Wells Branch
Residents of Wells Branch are required to pay dues to the Wells Branch MUD. Annual fees go toward conveniences like trash and recycling services, as well as events held throughout the year. The active neighborhood association hosts parades, holiday celebrations, exercise lessons, and youth programs. During the summer, the MUD has summer camps and an early-evening concert series.
In the middle of the neighborhood sits Katherine Fleisher Park, which has many recreational opportunities for residents to enjoy. It is home to a sports court, swimming pool, and play-scape, as well as an 1850s-era cabin that is used for tours and events. Residents will also get exclusive access to the Wells Branch Recreation Center that's home to a workout room, full-size basketball court, and several multi-purpose rooms that are used for meetings and classes.
Perhaps one of the most unique aspects of the area is the Wells Branch Community Garden which is shared by all residents in the community. The land is divided to give all a section, and is used to grow vegetables, flowers, and plants. While putting a focus on sustainability, the gardens are also a great way to build a strong sense of community.
Homes in Wells Branch are a wide range of one and two story homes, many with brick exteriors. For the most part, homes are moderately sized and have large backyards with decks or patios that take advantage of the outdoors. Homes on the market now range from 1100 – 2500 square feet and are priced from the low 100s to the low 200s.
